British bestselling author and former politician Jeffrey Archer has died at the age of 86.
Archer died suddenly and peacefully at his home on Monday, October 5, according to his publisher HarperCollins.
He was one of Britain’s best known authors, selling more than 300 million books worldwide. His famous works include Kane & Abel and Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less.
Archer also had a political career, serving as a Conservative MP and later as the party’s deputy chairman. He was made a life peer in 1992.
His final novel, Adam & Eve, is due to be published on October 6, one day after his death.
