Lohan Ratwatte withdrew a writ petition filed before the Court of Appeal regarding a case involving an unregistered luxury vehicle.

Counsel representing Ratwatte informed the court that the petitioner no longer intends to proceed with the petition, as he has already been released on bail in the case concerning the unregistered vehicle.

Ratwatte had originally filed the petition seeking a court order for his release on bail. While he was granted bail on 5 December, he was arrested again the following day for causing an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol.
