Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage made history by winning the men’s javelin throw gold medal at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship with a remarkable throw of 91.09 metres.
The victory crowned Pathirage world champion and marked a historic achievement for Sri Lankan athletics.
