Shasheendra Rajapaksa Corruption Case Advances to Trial Stage

The Colombo High Court today (5) ordered that the corruption case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) against former State Minister Shasheendra Rajapaksa and two other accused be taken up for trial on September 28.

Rajapaksa and the two co-accused, who are currently out on bail, appeared before court when the case was called.

After considering submissions made by both parties, the High Court judge directed that the case be fixed for trial on September 28.
