Shiranthi returned to prison after eye examination

Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was returned to prison custody after being taken to the National Eye Hospital in Colombo this morning (9) for specialist medical attention.

Prison officials transported her to the hospital for an examination over an eye condition, following a recommendation by a prison medical specialist who assessed her yesterday (8).

She was taken back to prison after receiving medical attention.
