SJB Parliamentarian Chaminda Wijesiri, who is serving an 18-month prison sentence after being convicted of threatening two individuals with death and assaulting and injuring them, was granted bail by the Badulla High Court pending his appeal.
The court ordered Wijesiri’s release on a cash bail of Rs. 50,000 and two sureties of Rs. 1 million each.
The court also imposed an overseas travel ban on the MP.
