SJB MP Chaminda Wijesiri sentenced to 18 months in prison

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Chaminda Wijesiri has been sentenced to one-and-a-half years’ imprisonment by the Badulla High Court over an incident involving two police officers in 2019.

The sentence was imposed in connection with charges of threatening the lives of the two police officers and assaulting them.
