Warrant issued for MP Ramanathan Archchuna

The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (24) issued a warrant for the arrest of MP Ramanathan Archchuna after he failed to appear before court in connection with an ongoing case.

The case relates to an incident in which the MP is accused of obstructing Fort Police officers from carrying out their duties.

When the case was taken up today, neither the MP nor his sureties appeared before court.

Accordingly, the Fort Magistrate’s Court ordered that a warrant be issued for the MP.
