Sri Lankan Rupee Displays Resilience: Stable Exchange Rates Against US Dollar on January 23

In a notable trend, the Sri Lankan rupee has demonstrated stability against the US dollar in major commercial banks, maintaining consistent rates on today (23) compared to the yesterday (22).

People's Bank's US dollar buying and selling rates are Rs. 314.80 to Rs. 314.56 and Rs. 325.78 to Rs. 325.52, respectively.
 

Similarly, the buying rate at Commercial Bank remains unchanged at Rs. 313.93, with the selling rate holding steady at Rs. 324.

Sampath Bank mirrors this stability, with unchanged buying and selling rates at Rs. 315 and Rs. 324, respectively.

This steady state in exchange rates suggests a resilient currency market, offering a sense of assurance for businesses and individuals engaging in international transactions.
