Colombo District Court today issued an enjoining order against the publishing or circulating of the COPE subcommittee report on the Central Bank Treasury bond issue before it is tabled in the parliament.

 

The enjoining order will be in force until July 23.

 

The District Court issued the order after considering a petition filed by Deputy Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe. The respondents of the petition are former COPE Committee Chairman DEW Gunasekara and several other members of the committee.
