UPFA To Face Legal Action Over Non-payment Of Rs 142.5 Million To SLTB

Sri Lanka’s Cabinet of Ministers have decided to file legal action against UPFA due to the failure to pay Rs. 142.5 million owed to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), for buses used during the presidential election.

Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said that the decision was taken to file legal action as the sum has not been paid so far.

The new government continuously accused the former government of Mahinda Rajapaksa for the non-payment of fees due for the SLTB buses used for transportation during the 2015 Presidential Election campaign.
