Litro Executive Chairman Sends Letter Of Demand To Bandula Gunawardena

Litro Executive Chairman Shalia Moonasinghe has sent a letter of demand through his lawyer to former minister Bandula Gunawardena regarding a statement he made on July 22.
 
Moonasinghe demands Rs. 1 billion from Gunawardena for a statement where he said “Litro has signed a MOU with Shell to privatize Litro Gas Lanka (Pvt) Limited.
 
Moonasinghe’s lawyer said that by the false and inaccurate statement, Gunawardena has brought Moonasinghe and the senior management of Litro into hatred, ridicule and contempt among his professional colleagues, other employees of Litro, other persons in LPG trade, members of Government and the general public.
 
Moonesinghe estimates the loss and damage to his dignity and reputation at Rs. 1 billion and demands that the compensation be paid within seven days. He warned to take Gunawardena to courts if the amon=unt is not paid within the said time period.
