The Police today arrested the suspect who allegedly murdered a woman, and left her body in a traveling bag at the Private Bus Stand, Pettah, a week ago. The arrest was made at Kovilkulam in Mannar District a short while ago.
The body of the woman was found on July 29 at Anuradhapura queue of the Bastian Mawatha Private Bus Terminal, Pettah. The victim was identified as Rangan Karthika from Vaddukkoddai, Jaffna. She was 34 years old, the police said.
The police later released CCTV footage of the suspect who murdered the woman.
