Kandy District MP Anuradha Jayaratne and Kegalle District MP Dushmantha Mithrapala were sworn-in as Deputy Ministers by President Maithripala Sirisena today.

Jayaratne was appointed as Deputy Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment while Mithrapala was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice and Buddhasasana.

Anuradha Jayaratne is the son of former Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne. Dushmantha Mithrapala is the son of former Deputy Minister H.R. Mithrapala.

President Maithripala Sirisena is also the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment.
