Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that the 2016 Budget will be tabled in Parliament on November 20 this year.

This will be the first full budget of the new government and the first budget presented by Karunanayake as Financial Minister.

In January, Karunanayake presented an interim budget to Parliament, which was approved with only one MP opposing.
