All Ceylon Teachers' Union Secretary Joseph Stalin urged the IGP to transfer the Kotadeniyawa OIC and other officials until the investigations on the alleged assault on two suspects including a schoolboy is concluded.

Police allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old schoolboy and a 33-year-old individual arrested over the murder of a toddler in Kotadeniyawa.

An inquiry into these allegations are currently underway. Meanwhile, the two suspects were released on DNA evidence recently.

The ACTU filed a complaint at the Human Rights Commission on behalf of the schoolboy, and its inquiry is also underway.
