Sri Lanka Navy has launched an investigation into a ship carrying weapons seized on Tuesday, off the coast of Galle.

The Sri Lankan-flagged ship had 810 weapons and some information provided to the navy was contradictory.

The Navy will focus on if there were proper records maintained and if the weapons have been licensed properly.
