Police started holding interviews to recruit 1500 Tamil youth, with the intention of deploying them in the Tamil speaking districts.

Accordingly, interviews for applicants from Jaffna were held yesterday at Jaffna Central College.

The interviews for the applicants from Vavuniya are being held today at the Vavuniya Gamini Maha Vidyalaya.

SSP Vavuniya Wasantha Wickramasinghe said that 424 applicants will be interviewed in Vavuniya today.
