Sri Lanka Send Windies To Innings Defeat

Sri Lanka beat the West Indies by an innings and six runs on the fourth day of the first test at the Galle International stadium on Saturday.

The West Indies were dismissed for 227 after scoring 251 in their first innings in reply to Sri Lanka's 484.

Jermaine Blackwood top-scored with 92 for the tourists while Rangana Herath took four for 79 after taking six wickets for 68 in the first innings. Sri Lanka's big hitters were Dinesh Chandimal (151) and Dimuth Karunaratne (186).
