Duminda Silva Allowed To Visit Singapore

Former MP Duminda Silva was allowed to leave for Singapore from November 10 to December 2 by the Colombo High Court trial-at-bar.

Silva had earlier requested that he be allowed to leave for mediacal treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

The Court ordered Silva to submit copies of the passport and the air ticket to the court.

Silva is one of the defendants in the case on the murder of former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and several others on October 8, 2011.

The Attorney General filed indictment against 13 suspects including UPFA MP Duminda Silva in High Court on March 03, on 17 charges including the killing of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, Dharshana Jayathilake, Mohamed Azmy and Manimel Kumaraswamy and inflicting gunshot injuries on Premachandra's bodyguard Rajapurage Gamini and participating in an unlawful assembly.
