Police obtained an injunction order from the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court against the protest organized by the Inter University Students' Federation, preventing them from blocking the Parliament Road.

Students have reportedly converged inside the Sri Jayawardenapura University to take part in the protest.

Meanwhile, police also obtained an injunction order from Gangodawila Magistrate's Court against the protest.

The IUSF and several other student organizations have planned a protest march which is to start from the Sri Jayawardenapura University.
