The protest march organized by the Inter University Students' Federation entered the Ward Place in Colombo 7 a short while ago.

The road was closed for traffic and police was seen in front of the University Grants Commission. However, the police did not oppose the march as it entered Ward Place.

Heavy traffic was reported from the area.

Meanwhile, riot police was seen in Kolpetty area, anticipating a possible march towards the Temple Trees by the protesting students.
