Constitutional Council To Meet Today To Consider Members For Remaining Independent Commissions

November 04, 2015

The Constitutional Council will meet at the Parliamentary Complex this afternoon.

The Council will discuss the appointments for the independent commissions for which members have not yet been appointed.

In October, the President appointed members for the Human Rights Commission, the Bribery Commission, the Public Services Commission and the National Police Commission, on the recommendation of the Council.

Meanwhile, the Constitutional Council will also consider the replacement for Lionel Fernando, who resigned from the Human Rights Commission.
