Soma Edirisinghe, Chairperson of the EAP group, passed away at the age of 76 at a private hospital in Colombo.

Born on July 5, 1939, Edirisinghe was the wife of EAP Group founder EAP Edirisinghe. She came to the helm of the EAP Group, following the sudden demise of her husband in 1987.

The EAP Group consists of subsidiaries dealing in diverse areas of businesses such as Broadcasting, Telecasting, Financial Services, Insurance, Production and Exhibition of Films, Retailing Gold Jewelry and Pawning Services, Housing and Land Sales, Hotels, Importing and Retailing of Vehicles.
