Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapaksa said that he will take legal action against Democratic Party Leader Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka for his alleged defamatory comments regarding the Avant-Garde controversy.

Rajapakshe is seeking Rs 500 million as damages for the allegedly defamatory statement made yesterday.

Fonseka accused Rajapakshe of the alleged cover-up of the controversial Avant Garde floating armory incident.

Fonseka also lashed out at Minister Tilak Marapana for his statements regarding the matter.
