President, PM Urged Marapana To Resign: Dissanayake

November 18, 2015

Former Minister Tilak Marapana resigned as a result of a request made by the President and the Prime Minister, Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake said.

Dissanayake said this while opening a new party office in Ginigathhena town for Maskeliya electorate last Monday.

“Former Minister Tilak Marapana resigned because the President and the Prime Minster asked him to resign since it was not suitable for good governance when a legal advisor for Avant Guard served as a cabinet minister”, Dissanayake commented.
