UPFA Northern Provincial Councillor Shivakkolunthu Akiladas alleged that he was abducted by a group led by National List MP Angajan Ramanadan on November 16.

Akiladas said that he forcibly obtained his signature to a letter of resignation.

The alleged victim has lodged a complaint with the Nelliady Police.

NPC Chairman C.V.K. Sivagnanam said that he has received a letter of resignation sent by the Provincial Councillor. He is yet to inquire about the letter from the NPC member, the Chairman also said.
