CCTV Footage Implicates Members Of VIP Families In Thajudeen's Murder, Claims Senaratne

Members of VIP families are in CCTV footages of Wasim Thajudeen’s murder, said the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.

“There were CCTV footage of Thajudeen leaving the CR&FC premises, kidnapping him, and beating him to death. CCTV footage also shows members of elite families of the country, taking part in the murder”, Senaratne told media.

He also said that CID was to present CCTV footages to the courts in a few days.

Former Havelock Rugby captain Wasim Thajudeen’s body was found burnt inside his car near Shalika ground, 17th May 2012. His death was first described as an accident. However, later investigations revealed that he had been murdered.
