The Former OIC of Narahenpita Police, who was arrested recently regarding an incident of accepting a bribe, was further remanded till December 11 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.

Meanwhile, the Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police was released on a cash bail of Rs. 15,000 and two sureties of Rs one million.

The Narahenpita Police Crimes OIC was arrested on November 27 by the Bribery Commission while soliciting a bribe of Rs 2.5 million. It was later revealed that the then Narahenpita OIC was also involved in the case. He was arrested last Friday.
