No Action To Be Taken Against Higher Police Officials On HNDA Student Attack

December 11, 2015

The National Police Commission has decided that there was not adequate evidence to take action against higher police officials for the attack on the HNDA students on October 29.

An Inspector of Police was interdicted for the attack following the ruling of the Human Rights Commission on the police attack.

The HRC decided that police should pay compensation to the students and it should also take disciplinary action against the personnel who were responsible.

The National Police Commission yesterday met to discuss the matter and decided that there was not enough evidence to take action against higher officials according to the Establishment Code.
