Coordinating Secretary Arrested For Smuggling Gold

An individual who is said to be a coordinating secretary of the Postal Service and Muslim Affairs Ministry was arrested by the Customs in the early hours of this morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport, when he tried to smuggle in gold worth Rs. 2 million.

The suspect arrived on board a flight from Singapore. Four gold bars weighing 400 g were found concealed in the suspect’s rectum.
