Government Failed In Fighting Corruption: Keerthi Tennakoon

December 23, 2015

Executive Director of Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) Keerthi Tennakoon said that government has failed the test in the battle against fraud, corruption and waste in its first 11 months.

He made this observation yesterday at a press conference at Rajagiriya.

Tennakoon pointed out the charges against former MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardena as one example.

“In the complaint filed by Anti Corruption Front against former MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena, there are more than dozen charges. Today he has been provided security by the government. It is said that he has become a state witness. In which court case did he testify as a state witness? No one knows”, Tennakoon added.
