At Least Three Dead In Multiple Explosions, Gunfire In Central Jakarta

At least three people are dead in a series of explosions and shooting in Central Jakarta, foreign media said.

According to reports, at least six blasts went off in the city center of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta in an apparent terrorist attack involving suicide bombers.

Witnesses describe casualties, chaotic scenes, and exchanges of gunfire with police.

The blasts had occurred close to where a UN agency office was also located. Some photos showed a damaged check point.

One gunman was still in the area, Indonesian media said.

According to one local media report, terrorists arrived in a car and started shooting.
