Former Embilipitiya ASP DWC Dharmaratne was remanded till February 17 by the Embilipitiya Magistrate's Court today.

He was arrested yesterday by the CID over the death of 29-year-old Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena in Embilipitiya last month.

The widow of Jayawardena has accused the former ASP of murdering her late husband by pushing him out of a window.
