Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran stated that he will be expecting to meet the visiting External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj to discuss the dispute regarding the fishermen.

Several TNA MPs are also expected to take part at the meeting, Wigneswaran said in a statement.

Wigneswaran also stated that he will focus on the grievances put forward to him by the fishermen in the north during his meeting with Swaraj.

The Indian and Sri Lankan fishermen are at loggerheads due to massive scale poaching in Sri Lankan waters by the Indian fishermen.
