Former UNP PC member Maithri Gunaratne today lodged a complaint against BBS General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera saying the latter called him a "dog" at the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court premises.

Gunaratne, who is a lawyer, appears on behalf of Vatareka Wijitha Thera in a court case involving the Bodu Bala Sena and the Jathika Bala Sena, led by Wijitha Thera. 

According to the complaint, Gnanasera Thra had called Gunaratne names after the hearing of the case at the Fo Magistrate Court this morning. The Buddhist monk has allegedly made this remark while leaving the court premises in his "Montero".

The complaint has been made after Gunaratne raised this matter before Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage. Slave Island Police is investigating into the matter.
