The Colombo Crime Division today filed a charge sheet against Western Provincial Council UPFA member Nauser Fowzie over an incident where he had allegedly threatened a businessman with a firearm in 2012.

The Magisterial Inquiry over the incident was taken up for hearing before Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya, who fixed the next hearing for May 30.

Nauser Fowzie was briefly arrested last year for the alleged incident.

He is the son of State Minister A.H.M. Fowzie.
