Jammers are to be installed near Yoshitha Rajapaksa's cell in the remand prison following the suspicion that he was using a mobile phone while in prison.

Prison Department has discussed this matter with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure.

These suspicions were raised after a mobile phone was found from a cell nearby. It has been sent to the Rapid Response Unit for investigation.

Rajapaksa and four others were arrested on January 30 over allegations of money laundering at the CSN.
