Colombo Crimes Division has arrested a suspect for allegedly shooting a pregnant woman near the Welikada Prison.

He was first arrested on possession of a hand grenade. Upon further questioning, it was revealed that he was involved in the shooting which occurred near the Welikada. Five mobile phones have been found in his possession.

The suspect is a 26-year old youth.
