Central Provincial Councilor Azath Salley has resigned from his post in the council.

Salley said that he resigned due to appointment as the Director of Indo-Sri Lanka Foundation by President Maithripala Sirisena.

President has been informed regarding the matter through a letter, Salley said.

Salley was elected to the Central Province Provincial Council as a UNP candidate.
