Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa and the former Director General of the Divineguma Department R.A.A.K. Ranakawa were granted bail by the Colombo High Court over the alleged misappropriation of Divineguma funds during the 2015 Presidential Election campaign.

They appeared before courts on summons today.

High Court Judge Padmini N. Ranawaka released them on a cash bail of Rs 500,000 and two sureties of Rs 5 million each.

The next hearing was fixed for July 22.
