CEB Chairman Decides To Step Down

Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman Anura Wijepala has decided to resign from his post following the third island-wide power cut in six months.

Wijepala assumed duties as Chairman of CEB in January 2015.

Power went off at around 2.30 p.m. today and is yet to be completely restored.

Wijepala said that he will hand over his resignation once power has been completely restored.
