A power cut has affected several areas in the island including parts of the Colombo city.

CEB had earlier warned of power cuts which could happen unannounced in the coming days due to the breakdown of the Norochcholai Power Plant.

Large areas of the country were affected by power cuts yesterday, following the country-wide blackout on Sunday.
