Police Complaint Filed Against Dhammika Ranatunga For 'Death Threat' To Journalist (VIDEO)

A journalist from the SLRC filed a complaint with the Keselwatte Police against Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman Dhammika Ranatunga for a death threat near the Colombo High Court.

Police also recorded statements of the witnesses of the incident.

The incident occurred when Dhammika Ranatunga arrived at the court for the hearing of the bail application of his brother Nishantha. He threatened a photojournalist who was taking video footage outside the court as to how he could record videos.

Ranatunga then captured a photograph of the journalist and threatened him saying, "we'll take care of this later".
