Wasim Thajudeen Murder: CID Seek Further Time To Report On Case

Making a submission through the AG to Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris, the CID requested a period of two months to report on the murder investigation of Wasim Thajudeen.

The CID informed court that further time is needed because of the complex nature of the case.

The CID also said that investigations on the telephone records required some time for completion. Further time was needed to sent the CCTV records obtained earlier for forensic analysis at a foreign laboratory, the CID said.

They also informed that further leads were not obtained by the the analysis of the CCTV records obtained recently.

The Magistrate considered the request and set the next inquiry for May 12. He also directed all parties to expedite the investigations.
