Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa said that he will not be accepting a position in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party if he is given the offer.

Speaking to media yesterday, he said that he has no plans in accepting such a post.

Journalists asked Rajapaksa of the recent disturbances in SLFP regional meetings, when party members expressed their support to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the younger brother of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, said that people's demands should be heeded.
