The investigation into the discovery of a suicide jacket and explosives at a house in Chawakatchcheri has been handed over to the police Terrorist Investigation Division (TID).

The stock was discovered by police yesterday, who raided the house on ainformation received. A suspect who is believed to be the owner of the house was later arrested in Kilinochchi.

Police discovered a suicide jacket, around 12kg of TNT, one hundred 9mm bullets and other explosives in the raid.
