Rajapaksa Urges For Vigilance On National Security

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that government intelligence agencies should be maintained well without weakening them.

He made this observation when a journalist raised a question regarding the suicide vest and explosives found in Chavakachcheri.

Rajapaksa stressed that it was any government’s responsibility to ensure national security.

A suicide vest, C4 explosives, 12kg of TNT and around 100 9mm bullets were discovered from a house in Chavakachcheri in Jaffna District, on 30th March.
