A video showing the assault of a CTB controlling officer at Ratnapura Depot by an alleged group of CTB employees has been released on social media.

It is thought that the group is assaulting the official because he opposed the fraudulent activities of some conductors and drivers at the depot.

Three people are seen attacking the officer, in front of his wife, who tries to save her husband.

One assaulter is heard asking: "is it only your children that need to be fed? What about our children?"
