A T-56 and some revolvers, thought to be the weapons stolen from Laggala Police Station, were discovered by the Police near a temple in Laggala.

The theft occurred in the early hours of April 14 when an unidentified person entered the police station and made away with a T-56 and five revolvers.

Three police personnel who were on duty at the time were suspended.

The CID has been assigned the investigation into the incident.
